Heading east along Bloor we find another string of
condos offering a whole lot of choices and quality. The latest greatest is 8 Park Rd. which is a
resuscitation of an excellent Bramalea site connected to the Young Bloor shopping
concourse and the Marriott Hotel. This site
holds excellent views over Rosedale and the downtown scape due to building height
restrictions along Bloor. There are some nice new commercial buildings along Bloor running
from Yonge East to Church and another of Toronto's magnificent churches.

A little further east, just past ManuLife Insurance
Headquarters is Rosedale
Glen built back in the late 80s but again a real sleeper when it comes to
quality and value. The development telescopes down into the Rosedale Ravine giving
residents surprisingly private country setting views right in the city. The fall change of
leaves can be breathtaking.

At the corner of Mount Pleasant and Bloor is a site
that just launched in May 2000 called the The Bellagio. I was originally involved with this site back
in the early 80s. I actually sold the most expensive residential condominium in the
citys history at well over a million and a half dollars. Back in the early 80s
a million and a half was a lot more than it is today!

At the corner of Sherbourne and Bloor is the Rosedale which is one of
the depressed developments that I originally handled in Asia back in 1990. The building
design is good however, much of the finishing work was compromised due to the developer
folding.

Most of the units sold to investors from Asia or
through their relatives here in Toronto. The area still has a way to go as there still is
somewhat of an unsavory character to many of the surrounding streets. The Rosedale Ravine
is right across the street and a short walk into Rosedale can restore your enthusiasm for
residential architecture and natural surroundings. There are some good buys available here
but make sure you inspect the physical condition closely as some suites were finished
better than others.

In my next article we will tour along Yonge Street
and have a look at what has been going on in this area of town. Toronto is a very nice
city if you can handle the winters and it is full of unique pockets of lifestyles so if
you know yours and know what you are looking for, tune into simplycondos.com and we hope
that we can give you what you are looking for. Until next time. Im Charles Laurie Hanes.
