Hanging out in Toronto's Merton Area

Podcast
simplycondos.com - Toronto Condos, podcast

Bounded on it’s southern perimeter with the Mount Pleasant Cemetery all south facing units in these mid market condos appearing along Merton offer great unobstructed views even from low floors.

The area is still a “transition” area where you’ll find condos on one side of the street and an auto body shop as your across the street neighbour. There are a couple of good tennis clubs in the area which is small as is covers pretty much just up to Davisville which is mostly high rise rental apartments and is bounded on it’s east with Mount Pleasant and it’s west with Yonge street.

Yonge and Davisville is the neighbourhood subway stop. Shops, restaurants and coffee shops are located along Yonge and Mount Pleasant.

Rio I, II, and III are distinctly middle market condos but a new Monarch Development project “Domain” has elevated the standard in the area. There are a few excellent townhouse developments and a couple of loft developments worth looking at.

Merton area is still principally a young family area,a mix of condos and seniors buildings, lots of parks and green areas.
