Hanging
out in Toronto's Rosedale Area
The Rosedale area in Toronto is and has long been one of the wealthiest neighbourhoods for
many years. Rosedale, along with Forest Hill and The Bridle Path area, are home to where
many of the richest and well-known citizens of Toronto reside.
Rosedale is beautiful and unique in that it is different from most of the rest of the
city. Surrounded by and consisting of parks, open space and ravines gives the feeling you
are in a rural environment comparable to a home away from home.
In actuality the Rosedale neighbourhood is just minutes away from Toronto’s Financial
District, Entertainment District and Yorkville. Few cities of the world offer such
magnificent home styles right in the downtown core of the city.
Encircled by Canadian Pacific Railway, Yonge St. and Bayview Ave., the neighbourhood was
named ‘Rosedale’ as a tribute to all the wild roses that grew along the hills of
a Jarvis Estate.
North Rosedale is the home to an all boys boarding school, St. Andrew’s College, and
South Rosedale is the home to an all girls school , Branksome Hall.
Rosedale Park is known for the annual spring park party. The community comes together and
creates an event with rides, games, kiosks full of shopping goods and festival activities.
With class, originality and beautiful landscape Rosedale is a community that many people
would like to settle in.
Tons of magnificent homes but not overly endowed with condos, Rosedale condominiums are
frequently a limited number of residences (3 - 5) retrofitted into historic estates.
There are a few highrise condos along Bloor St.
East which I designate a condo area by itself.
