Hanging out in Toronto's Harbourfront Area
Podcast

When I first started in condos back in 1980, my first development was the Queens Quay Residences being developed by
Canadas then infamous Reichmann Family. The place was a ghost town!
Over the past almost 30 years a lot of things have changed in the city and nowhere more
greater than on Torontos harbourfront.
Located right in the heart of Downtown Toronto the Queens Quay between Yonge St. to
just west of Bathurst St. is now one of the sought after residential areas in the city.
Today, high priced residential development is being introduced along the eastern coridor
of the Quay with projects like Pier 27.
Harbourfront is one of Torontos major four season tourist attractions and provides
transportation to the Islands and to the Harbourfront
Centre. The centerfold of the Harbourfront is still the Queens Quay Terminal which was a
former warehouse transformed into a building for a shopping centre for high-end retailers,
commercial offices and Queens Quay
Residences above.
Today there is an abundance of restaurants, grocery stores, bars and the city has
literally bridge the historic gap between the harbour and the city. Other quality residential
condos in the area include Kings
Landing, Waterclub I, II, III, 1 York Quay, 33 Harbour Square, Southbeach town homes.
At the very west end of the Queens Quay you find Tip
Top Lofts and just above the harbour youll find City place
(Entertainment District) where you can find cost
competitive units
with great lake views (many better than units along the Queens Quay). Good harbour
views are also found in the St. Lawrence Market District.
