Name: Minto
Plaza
One of Toronto's few true luxury condominium
developments completed around 1990 just up the street from City Hall, a stones throw to
Chinatown, the financial district and a short walk to Bloor/Yorkville. I had the pleasure of selling about 50 of these quality residences
during the crash of the market of the late eighties. The units are compact, as all are in
the core unless you are spending serious money. The developers (Minto Developments) are
first class. I remember walking through the pre-completed building with them checking the
separation in the strapping behind to be dry walled areas to be sure that the distance
between them was consistent. Sub contractors were held accountable for uncompromising
quality workmanship. When you are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a
condominium, you want to know that the developer has a commitment to their buyers .
Amenities include an elaborate and comprehensive floor of
services and amenities including a large indoor swimming pool, an advanced workout and
exercise facility, private dining room, boardrooms and a party room equipped with a large
dance floor.
A very well priced building in light of the quality of
appointments in each suite on top of the elaborate facilities, not to mention the prime
downtown location. |
