Sumach
289 Sumach Street is located in the
southern area of Cabbagetown (north of Gerrard St. and west of Parliament). It was
completed in 1984 and developed by Bob Mitchell and consists of only 10 suites in a
building formerly known as the Ontario Medical College for Women. The majority of the
original 1890 facade is still maintained. The loft ceilings are up to 15 feet!. Sizes
range from 800 square feet (one bedroom) to 2000 square feet (multi-bedroom suites). Price
ranges are between $190,000 to $400,000. There is indoor parking through a rear lane.
Maintenance fees are roughly around $200 per month and does not include hydro, heat and
air-conditioning (extra). Many units have private decks or terraces and some have
