A close runner-up to my number one choice, Yorkville offers the distinction of being the city’s premier tourist and up-scale shopping area (Toronto’s Rodeo Drive). Once a hippie hang out area of eclectic coffee shops and tea houses frequented by Joni Mitchell and Liona Boyd, the area today is the high end shopping Mecca of the city.

The area actually encompasses only a couple streets, starting just south of Bloor where you will find the prestigious Windsor Arms Hotel where you find some of the most exclusive private residences in the city. 10 Bellair which is destined to secure the title of #1 Residence in the city offering unobstructed south views over the city and north views over Yorkville.

If you like to schmooze with the stars and paverotzi, Yorkville’s open air coffee shops and exclusive designer shops offer a strong allure.
