Word On The Street
The Word on the Street this week is that, a number of sites have just announced
delays.
Old Thornhill Village announced that their occupancy will be shifted back a year
leading to lots of calls and emails to me to help bridge this time gap.
Park Avenue, after
occupying a year ago has not gotten Registration.
Five Nine On Richmond finally
got their OMB ("Ontario Mulicipality Board") Ruling and the news is bad with a
capital "B". The OMB Ruled against the developer specifically with regard to the
height / shadow implications on the surrounding area and buildings as well as density
issues. |

The result will be that 59 must redraft it's site plan and resubmit
to OMB for site plan approval. This shifts proposed occupancy by atleast a year which
falls outside most of my buyer clients plans. We are meeting to discuss options and I'll
update you once we hear back from the developer.
I spoke with him Monday morning and he has assured me that I'll have a "definitive
answer" for my clients and reader by Friday (1-14-05). Tune in next week for an
update.
